Over the weekend, two Quebec films earned international recognition in Palm Springs, California and Paris. The first, Starbuck, is a comedy directed by Ken Scott. The film features actor Patrick Huard, who finds out that he is the biological father of more than 500 children, all because of his prolific sperm donations. A man previously without any direction, he seeks a new meaning to life through his newly discovered fatherhood.
The second film, Denis Villeneuve's drama entitled Incendies, is based on a play by Wajdi Mouawad in which two siblings travel to the Middle East to unravel a mystery left by their late mother.
If you haven't seen these two films yet, they are definitely worth checking out!
